Thankful Tree

Since the first of November, we (every one in my family) put something they were thankful for on a cut-out leaf every day, and taped them up on a wall in our dining room. We are going to continue that until the end of November, and when all 120 leaves are taped up, we'll all eat dinner together in the dining room. It just shows how many things we have to be grateful for. And by the way, I can't wait until BizTown.

School? Already?

School has started! I got very lucky and got the BEST 5th grade teacher, Mrs.Putnam, with my two buds Arden and Jaden. WE ARE NOW THE RULERS OF THE SCHOOL!!!!! I am on Green Team! I might have posted about before, but Green Team is a 5th grade program that you get in to that helps make our school green, like helping with recycling, collecting juice pouches for the place that makes the bags out of them, stuff like that. We do a lot of projects in 5th grade. We already started 2! Ahhhh...It's going to be a great year.

Nothing in Particular

Sorry I haven't been writing lately. School, you know? Speaking of school, only 5 more days! I'm sad, and glad. I'll miss the friends I hang out with, but don't really invite over ever. Also, before the end of the year, I get to find out if I made it to Green Team. Green Team is the green program at our school, were you fill out a LONG application and open response, and if you get in, you get to help make the school a better place. Totally off the topic, Jaden, Arden and I are sending the idea of the mountain lion becoming our (Oregon's) state cat to our senate, hoping he'll help make our bill a law. Any support we can get would be great. Off the topic again, Jaden, Arden, Brensley and I are entering a state competition, OBOB, or Oregon Battle Of the Books. Our team reads a bunch of books, then answer closed-book questions against other teams. If we beat all the teams at our school, we move on to other schools. Wish us luck! By the way, the panda pet is for the new song I composed on the piano, Majestic Panda.

Two Birds, One Stone

Last night, I was desperately hoping for a snow day. I looked up 'snow rituals' in google, wrote down all the ones I could find, then did them all last night. It's no surprise that school was canceled because of snow. I guess it really worked! I'm enjoying my day off by reading the Harry Potter books for the first time. That's right, I'm ten and I haven't read or watched Harry Potter. I have to admit, they're good! It really is two birds one stone!

When it rains, it pours

So, as I said in my last post, I went to the tri-cities. My mom's car was kinda stuttering, or revving. So she took it in, and they said everything was fine. We started driving home, and after about half an hour, the car ran really rough and messages started popping up. We pulled over, and called roadside assistance. They said to turn the car off or we would damage the engine, and they would get a tow truck, but it could only take TWO people, and we had 4 and a dog. On top of all that, the tow truck would come in TWO HOURS!!! Luckily, my dad called the dealership and the guy got a rental car and picked us up and the tow truck towed the empty car. We stayed at the hotel another night, but they still don't know what's wrong with the car! We're driving home in the rental today, and later Mom's going back to get the car, once it's fixed. And we might get caught in a little snow, too! When it rains, it pours! At least I don't have to go to school today...

Hey there

As some of you know, I am spending President's day weekend in the Tri-Cities. I'm really looking forward to it. Spending time with the relatives, making crafts like friendship bracelets, playing piano pieces that I'm working on, and I've got extra special magic tricks for everyone to see. I'm SO happy I get to come and relax, because we didn't get a snow day like I hoped. :( I know it's only 7:30, but I'm pooped from school. See you guys tomorrow, I better get some sleep.

There's nothing like a good book... put your book suggestions in the comments. Also, I kinda realized my blog's name is really dumb... I mean, 'Kid blogger'? Any suggestions?

Pen Pal

Hey, sorry I haven't been writing lately. I have time for a quick post. This is old news, but when I went to Arizona, I met a girl named Brooke. We decided that to keep in touch, we should be, like, pen pals. We've been e-mailing a lot and it's so cool to know someone is Arizona is writing you. She my first pen pal, and it's SO cool! I hope she can visit my blog sometime... Sorry, that's all I have time for right now. Bye!
